As the cost of Christian education inevitably rises, the need for other ways of funding becomes more important. CDCEF serves this purpose while allowing an opportunity for people to give a gift that keeps on giving. A cash gift to the endowment fund, no matter how large or small, supports the Tuition Assistance Fund of the School. Over many years, even small gifts have added up to make the difference as to whether a needy family is able to afford tuition for Christian education. These donations are invested permanently, so your gift is valued for years to come.

For the Foundation to invest these funds permanently it is required by Revenue Canada that we have instruction from the donor to do so. Please sign the form at the bottom of this letter for instructions regarding your endowment gift (wording for the instruction comes directly from the CRA website). Failure to do so will mean that the Foundation must distribute 80% of your donation in the following year.

Because we determine not to use endowment funds for operating costs, each year we ask for sponsors at a minimal cost ($50.00 annually) to cover these expenses. It is important that we continue to promote the important role the foundation plays in the present and future financing of Christian education.
